This incredible scrap metal statue stands tall and proud behind his fence at a restaurant two blocks from our NY apt. The first time i noticed him i honestly took a double take and started geeking out and taking hundreds of photos.

So in the end I came here with three pairs of shoes and I am leaving with…
*drumroll*
TEN PAIRS!!
The storefront at Rockefeller Plaza!
On the wall behind just a few of the flat screen TVs with Wii consoles hooked to them is a print out of the first level of the first world of Super Mario! The store had at least ten other TVs set up throughout it with Wiis and tons of games for the shoppers to play on! I tried to play Mario at one point and couldn’t even figure out how to start… I guess I will just stick to the NES and Gameboys.
Speaking of Gameboys! There is a display case with every single Gameboy model that has been sold, they even had some that were themed around different games and an autographed one!
The NES!! We still own ours from when my mom was around my age, it’s my favorite game system, mainly because I understand how it works! : )
Here is one of the play areas for the Gameboy, they had a few other tables like this this with even more Gameboys so that there will never be a guest without a game… (If I am right there was the 3D Gameboy as well, but I couldn’t be sure… If it was the 3D one it really is not holding up to all the hype in my opinion).
An aerial view of the “Pokémon Center” which is really just a section of the store with a bunch of stuffed Pokémon, trading cards, a few tee-shirts and three TVs playing walkthroughs of random Pokémon levels. Thomas would have loved that part of the store!
The best part I thought was that on the way out you can have your picture taken with Pikachu! I also love that he’s throwing up a peace sign, my kind of guy! : )
In the apartment! When my plane landed I went to baggage pick up where I was greeted by a bald short man with my name on a card… we went to the car then commenced on the drive to the building. Once I got to the building I got my key and came up to the room. Except there was one problem, I went to the fifth floor of the wrong building… someone told me the room I was looking for was in the second building, so I go downstairs go out the door to the enclosed sitting area and the walk ten steps to the second set of buildings J when I got inside I went to the fifth floor then went right into my room, when I got into my room there was one other model here, she doesn’t really speak English. Shortly after I arrived another girl showed up, speaking some English she said hello and told me how to get onto the internet… which is very helpful because with the internet how would I blog? Precisely, i wouldn’t, any who now you are all caught up.

Currently I am sitting on the plane flying to New York; so far everything has been smooth sailing. My mother and father escorted me to the security gates after helping me check into my flight. True to my parents form they stuck by my side until we got up to the security gates. Once arriving at the first check point of the airline security system my parents ducked under one of the dividing ropes and watched from a distance as I handed over my ticket and passport to be inspected. Once passing this oh so simple test I continued to the x-ray belts, I removed my coats and shoes and placed my bags and such in the plastic bins. Then I watched as they disappeared into the x-ray machine. Once my things were successfully gulped up the x-ray thing I went through my own x-ray scanner, without a single beep I might add. To my joy I did not have to go through one of those high tech new body scanners, just the simple old one. After collecting my things and zipping my boots I walked to my gate, which was luckily the first one after security. I then sat down and waited. When they finally called my flight to bard at five forty eight I did just that, I boarded my flight. When I got to my seat I found that I had to share it with another girl, she seemed nice enough so I wasn’t upset. But then boarding ended and guess what, an empty row! That’s right, the empty row, oh you bet I jumped on that like white on rice. Sadly this is an emergency exit so let’s cross our fingers that this plane stays airborne until it’s meant to go down. Well I believe that gets you up to date with me, obviously this wasn’t posted until I got to the apartment but that is beside the point… stay close and I will have another bloggy woggy out soon!
XO Bethany.
So these are some of the before and after pictures from the book “Altered Clothing”. The first few sets are ones that I think are just downright bad.
the next sets aren’t terrible…. actually some are pretty cutesy…
