Oh bakery, you are so very busy this week, thanksgiving week that is. I believe we sold 700 plus loaves today when on an average day we sell around 200. Oh bakery you are so busy this week.
I worked today and yesterday from 12 o’clock until 6:30 when the store closes, most of that time is spent rushing around grabbing breads and scanning credit cards for crazed customers looking to complete their turkey dinner. It is true though, from east to the west, our bread is the best” and that is proven on these three remarkably crowded days.
and now that my final day of the week is done I may put my feet up and enjoy the holiday, spending the day at my grandparents with my the family then a traditional dinner around the table filling out stomachs with all the best; fruit salad, mashed potatoes, and of course, TURKEY. Then it’s off to my dad’s parent’s house to see the bog wild family and enjoy home-made pies, cakes, and pure madness!
after the always fun filled day we call thanksgiving comes a peaceful Friday, for me at least, for all the parents however, it is a day when they must wake themselves at the crack of dawn to wait in massive lines and trample over unsuspecting clerks to purchase the hottest games and toys for their little ones Christmas joys. That’s right, its BLACK FRIDAY, the biggest and most Americanized shopping event of the year, a day where excess is the celebration and spending money is the past time. Yes, black Friday truly embodies the consumer nation that is America.
XO-XO, Au Revoir
